Hello Crafters!

Textiles Waste – Best Practice Event

Tuesday 8th March, 9.45am – 1pm,
EMMAT / Designer Forum Office, Nottm
The Materials Recycling and Reclamation project (MATREC) is organising a Textile Waste Event
Companies come along and discover the alternate methods of disposing of your textile waste, what you can do with it and what will it be used for. Can you make money out of your cut offs and roll ends, or benefit the environment by recycling and diverting from landfill?
What can be done with old carpet or carpet cutoffs, is there a way to recycle them? Come along and discover.
Individuals Interested in recycling and the environment? Ever wondered what happens to your textiles waste? What happens to clothing you donate to charity, how do they get processed and what actually happens to them. What products could you buy or use that are made from recycled textiles.
There will be displays of locally made products using recycled clothing and textiles. If you are interested in displaying your products please call us. A question and answer session will be held after the presentations and there will also be networking opportunities.
Open to all. There is no cost to attend this event so come along and discover the opportunities. For more information or to reserve a place contact Kelly on Tel: 0115 9115339 or email:
